In a private residence in Bologna, Purapietra reimagines the kitchen as the sculptural heart of the home. Conceived and crafted in the Purapietra atelier, the project translates the discipline of traditional stonework into a contemporary, monolithic language.
Natural stone is worked in generous, continuous volumes, from the island to the worktops and splashback, so that the material itself becomes the architecture of the space. Bookmatched surfaces and precisely mitred edges reveal the depth and movement of the veining, while every joint and profile is resolved with the care of fine cabinetry.
From block selection to hand finishing, each stage is followed in-house by Italian artisans, ensuring that the finished kitchen carries the warmth, texture, and permanence that only solid natural stone can offer.
